Biography

Hult Ashridge Executive Education

Ian Hayward is member of Faculty at Ashridge. His particular areas of interest are leadership culture, organisational change and strategic HRM. He tutors on a number of Ashridge open enrolment programmes, and he has delivered customised programmes for a range of clients including BP, Lufthansa, Philips, Eon, Orange, Vodafone, the UK Ministry of Defence and a range of clients in the Middle East.

Previously he was Head of Leadership Development at the BBC, where he launched and directed the BBC Leadership programme in conjunction with Ashridge. Ian held a range of HRD and OD positions throughout his 16 years with the BBC, and introduced the first corporate succession planning process for senior managers. Before joining the BBC, Ian worked for British Airways where he launched and directed the Senior Management Academy and was responsible for the Young Professionals graduate training scheme.

Ian has a BSc in Psychology from Southampton University, and an MA in Organisation Development from Loyola University of Chicago. He gained a DBA with the University of Bradford School of Management.
