Biography
Said Business School
Ian Saunders has 30 years coaching and consulting experience helping organisations and individuals identify and implement change and development. He has particular expertise and experience in organisational change, team working, coaching, leadership and personal improvement, often within the context of major organisational change. Projects have included implementing change associated with organisation development, outsourcing and mergers for clients in a wide range of industries, including banking, manufacturing and telecommunications.
Ian started his working life in the Royal Engineers and worked in financial services and manufacturing prior to becoming a consultant. He was a founding member of Transitions Partnerships who are specialists in personal and organisational change using Action Learning and Coaching.
He set up and hosts The Coaching Forum which is based at Egrove Park, and created, at the request of Hewlett Packard, the TP Open Action Learning Programme which is designed to encourage managers from different organisations to share and learn together.
He is an Associate Fellow at Saïd Business School and was a Programme Director for the Personal Development Programmes run for 300 senior leaders of the Abu Dhabi Government.
He is an Executive Fellow at Henley Business School and a visiting tutor at Cranfield University. He has worked with a wide variety of clients who include AstraZeneca, BAE Systems, Beiersdorf, British Airways, BBC, Converteam, Eli Lilly, FLSmidth, GlaxoSmithKline, Hewlett Packard, Mars, Microsoft, QinetiQ and Thames Water.
Ian has written a number of articles and short papers on coaching, leadership and leading change: developed an organisation analysis model called The Performance Driver Framework and been the driving force behind the development of TP's tools for change - a toolkit of 100 ideas and models to help people with organisiational and personal change and development. He is licensed to use MBTI Steps 1 and 2, and FIRO-B.
