Ilias Danatzis is a Lecturer in Marketing Analytics at King’s Business School. Prior to joining King’s Ilias has been a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Freie Universität Berlin, Germany, where he also received his PhD degree.

He graduated from Freie Universität Berlin, Germany, with a MSc in Management and Marketing, holds a BSc in European Business Studies and Management from Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg, Germany, and has previously worked as an IT business consultant in Germany.

Ilias’ areas of expertise include services marketing and management, with an emphasis on strategic service capabilities, digital innovation, and service productivity. His research has been published in the Journal of Service Research and was commended in 2018 for its high societal relevance (among the top six per cent in Germany) by the Körber Foundation.

Ilias’ PhD dissertation also won the first prize of the 2018 Tiburtius Dissertation Award for the best doctoral dissertation across academic disciplines of all Berlin universities. Further information about Ilias’ research can be found on Google Scholar and ResearchGate.
