Mendoza College of Business
Jason Reed is an assistant professional specialist in the Department of Finance. Reed’s research focuses the integration of behavioral economics in the field of macroeconomics and finance; his dissertation topic was “Mean-Square Stability and Adaptive Learning in Macroeconomic Models.” Honors and distinctions include the GEOC Excellence in Teaching Award (2014), Lawrence Technical University Outstanding Instructor Award (2013), Department of Economics Mendelson Award for Outstanding dissertation (2015), and The Wayne State University Levin Scholarship for Outstanding Graduate Student (2012). Reed teaches microeconomics and managerial economics to both undergraduate and graduate students in the Mendoza College of Business. Reed earned a B.A. in art and design, as well as a B.S. in economics from Grand Valley State University. He earned his master’s degree and Ph.D. in economics from Wayne State University. Outside of the classroom, he is an avid traveler and still finds time to produce oil paintings.
