Dr. Jack Wood is Professor of Management Practice at the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). He was previously Emeritus Professor of Leadership and Organisational Behaviour at the International Management Development Institute (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland, and is a Visiting Professor at the Moscow School of Management (Skolkovo) in Russia. His academic publications and areas of special interest include leadership development and the role of unconscious processes in leadership, followership, group dynamics, and ideology. Along with his academic work and organisational consultation, Jack is an accredited analyst with a Diploma from the C.G. Jung Institute in Zürich. He is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the American Academy of Management (AOM), the A.K. Rice Institute for the Study of Social Systems (AKRI), the International Transactional Analysis Association (ITAA), and the International Association of Analytical Psychology (IAAP).

Dr. Wood majored in Government at Colby College where he was a U.S. Air Force Distinguished Military Graduate, Cadet Commander, ATO fraternity president, co-captain of the varsity soccer team and played varsity ice hockey. Following five years of active duty in the Air Force as an officer and pilot, he continued to fly for the Air National Guard while earning an MA in social psychology at Syracuse University, and an M.A., M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Organisational Behaviour at Yale University. His doctoral dissertation was "A Theory of Small Group Structure" which combined field and multivariate statistical research, and developed and refined methods for conceptualising ideology and its influence on the structure, dynamics, leadership and decision-making of small groups. Dr. Wood has Swiss and American nationality, is married with four children, and presently lives in Shanghai.
