After obtaining her medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco, Dr. Watkins completed an Anatomic Pathology Residency, fellowship in Women’s and Perinatal Pathology , and fellowship in Surgical Pathology at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. Following training, Dr. Watkins joined the Department of Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, where she served as Chief of Gynecological Pathology. In 2020, she returned to Boston to join the Anatomic Pathology Service at Massachusetts General Hospital, providing diagnostic evaluation of gynecological and obstetrical pathology specimens. Dr. Watkins’ research interests include benign, pre-neoplastic, and neoplastic diseases of the female genital tract, with particular interests in endometrial, ovarian, and vulvar neoplasia.
