Presentation
My study involves the renewable energy sector in Armenia and how MNCs can reduce risk through effectively engaging and gaining legitimacy with local stakeholders. My project proposes a holistic approach to dealing with diverse risk including factors not commonly used in traditional risk management such as engagement with local communities and partnership building.
My argument is that through an interdisciplinary theoretical approach using input from International Business, Communication and CSR literature organisations are able to gain competitive advantages by successfully managing their social risks, surpassing the performance of traditional risk management tools.
