_My research involves the mining sector in Armenia and how multinational mining companies strategize in order to reduce business continuity risk by engaging with and gain legitimacy with local communities. I propose an interdisciplinary approach to dealing with these localised risks including factors not commonly used in traditional risk management and within the international business literature, such as sensemaking processes and creating framers of meaning
