ESADE Business School
Visiting Professor at the Leonard N. Stern School of Business, New York University (1998-1999); at the ESCEM, France (2001); at the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey (EGADE) (2002); at ESADE, Barcelona (2003); at the Universidad Adolfo Ibánez, Chile (2005), and, in several occasions, at the ESAN, Peru.
He is the author of the book "Financial Decisions in Emerging Markets" (Oxford University Press, 2002).
He was Vice-president of the US consultancy company ATKearney, with management responsibility for the Andean countries (1995-1998), and Founder and Director of Keisai Asociados, a managerial consultancy firm with broad experience in financial advice projects (1989-1995). He worked in the Venezuelan insurance sector, where he achieved the position of Executive Vice-president (1972-1982).
He was lecturer in the Chair of Finance of the Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Administración (IESA) (1986-2003), where he was Director of the Finance Centre; member of the Academic Board, and Vice-president of the Management Board. He has formed part of the Management Council of the Venezuelan Institute of Finance Executives and has been the Director of several Venezuelan companies.
Since September 2003, he has been Associate Professor of Finance at ESADE. His main area of academic interest is corporate finance, with an emphasis on emerging countries.
