University of Bath School of Management

Dr Jako Volschenk is a Senior Lecturer in Strategy & Sustainability at the University of Stellenbosch (USB) as well as on other Masters programs in South Africa and France. He has worked with a number of South African and global institutions, including the WWF, Nedbank and USAID. He consults in the areas of strategy and environmental sustainability. Jako has published in the areas of co-opetition, energy, sustainability and micro-finance. Previously, he was a researcher with the Africa Centre for Investment Analysis and acted as coordinator of the Africa SMME Awards. Jako has also consulted in the social impact of private equity investments and in development finance. He holds a PhD in the area of co-opetition.
