Biography

Sir James Ball specialises in the formulation and application of macroeconomics policy.
In addition to being Emeritus Professor of Economics London Business School, he is also an investment adviser to pension funds and charities.
He is the author of The British Economy at the Crossroads, The Economics of Wealth Creation, Money and Employment, Inflation and the Theory of Money and An econometric Model of the United Kingdom. He has had numerous articles published in professional and public journals.
Sir Ball has been a Senior Lecturer at Manchester University; a Principal at London Business School; and has been a Chairman at Legal and General Group Plc and at the Royal Bank of Canada (UK).
He has also been a director of the following organisations: Ogilvy and Mather, TI Group, Barclays Bank Trust Co, National Freight Corporation, Legal and General Group Plc, IBM (UK), LASMO Plc and the Royal Bank of Canada.
