Bentley University

James Schofield is a philosopher with four years of teaching experience at Plymouth State University, and he recently began lecturing at Bentley University as well. He describes himself as a generalist, having created and taught courses in various areas of philosophy, including philosophy of science, ethics, religion, pragmatism, and existentialism. In the previous year, he published his debut book, "A phenomenological revision of E.E. Harris's dialectical holism," through Palgrave. This book aimed to merge 4E cognitive science with Bohm's philosophy of physics to establish a unified metaphysical framework that offers a solution to the challenging problem of consciousness.

Currently, his interests revolve around participating in collaborative interdisciplinary projects that span the natural sciences and social philosophy. These projects are focused on exploring the concept of virtue and potential pathways for human evolution.
