IESE Business School
Javier Aguirreamalloa is lecturer in the Financial Management Department at IESE. He received his Ph.D. degree in Business Administration (Finance) from the School of Economics of the Universidad de Navarra. He holds an MBA from IESE Business School, with a degree in Industrial Engineering from Escuela Superior de San Sebastian. He is currently the Academic Director of the Executive MBA in Madrid.
Since 1999, he has held a number of positions in the financial industry. He was a Technology and Macroeconomics equity analyst in ING Financial Markets and BBVA Equity Markets, and has extensive experience in Corporate Finance, mainly in the M&A area.
Prior to developing his career in the financial sector, he held different positions at a number of companies, including Country Manager of Transitions Optical for Spain and Portugal and Sales Manager of Tetra Pak Spain.
Aguirreamalloa also has experience in the movie industry, where he has worked as a scriptwriter for the film "The 3 Wise Men" and as a movie critic for Cadena COPE.
