Assistant Professor of Industrial Engineering with multidisciplinary research experience in mathematical modeling and its applications to business analytics, supply chain, and energy. Very intellectually driven individual who greatly enjoys studying and communicating science through undergraduate and graduate engineering courses.
I hold a Ph.D. in Operations Research from Rutgers University and a MS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA). Previously, I completed a 5-year degreee in Industrial Engineering at the University of Seville (Spain).
I was a postdoctoral researcher at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. I contributed to research projects with CCICADA, a Center of Excellence of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. I have professional experience in manufacturing, logistics, transport and energy, as well as international experience with research groups.
My interests deal with Operations Research and its many contributions in solving actual, real-world problems. I have professional experience working with models aiming at improving distribution networks, inventory levels and production processes.
