Biography
Leonard N. Stern School of Business
Jay Rubin is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Management Communication at NYU Stern. He teaches Organizational Communication and its Social Context to undergraduates and Business Communication to MBA students.
In addition, he is an External Lecturer at Copenhagen Business School’s International Summer University Program. His undergraduate courses there since 2013 have focused on reputation management and persuasion. He has also taught seminars in intercultural competence and global business communication at Johannes Kepler University in Austria.
Prof. Rubin joined Stern from NYU’s School of Professional Studies where he developed and taught the core writing courses for the MS Program in Public Relations and Corporate Communication. While at SPS, he received awards for both Teaching Excellence and Outstanding Service.
He is also a consultant whose clients over the years have included Bain & Company, CNBC, Disney/ABC Media Networks, Gerber, Johnson & Johnson, Scholastic, and the U.S. Navy, among others. Earlier in his career, he worked as a cable television network executive and as a magazine editor.
