Jean-Michel Gauthier is Affiliate Professor at HEC Paris and Executive Director of the Energy & Finance Chair.
As a partner at Deloitte, he served many years as Global Leader, Energy & Resources for Deloitte Corporate Finance. He has advised several large energy groups, governments, as well as the European Commission, and is today a recognised expert on energy economics, markets and regulations.
Jean-Michel has over 25 years of energy sector experience. Before he joined Deloitte in 2001, Jean-Michel spent 12 years at Total where he developed oil and gas projects in Asia, Russia, the Middle East and Europe.
Jean-Michel is an alumnus of Ecole Normale Supérieure, Paris. He is Agrégé de l'Université and has a Research Master in Public Law and Politics.
