Biography

Jean-Michel do Carmo Silva is an Associate Professor of law at Grenoble Ecole de Management (GEM). His most recent academic publications focus on financial law, more particulary insurance undertakings regulation. He direct research in law through coordinating collective works as well as through his role as scientific advisor of a legal journal. He teachs contract law, risk management and others courses. He''s in charge of a teaching program in partnership with the University of Grenoble Alpes. He obtained his doctorate at the Université de Toulouse I Capitole, where he also taught for several years.

Since january 2017, he''s president of the French Academy of Legal studies, a scientific association that aims to establish the place of law in business schools.
