Jeffry Burchard is an Architect.
Jeffry is a Partner and Principal at Machado Silvetti, a Boston based Architecture and Urban Design firm with projects throughout the world. Jeffry’s projects include the New York University Global Center for Academic and Spiritual Life, the Asian Art Study Center at the Ringling Museum of Art in Florida, the Vietnamese-German University in Vietnam, Denver Art Museum, Benton Museum of Art at Pomona College and Cary Downtown Park in Cary, North Carolina.
Jeffry is a recipient of the 2020 AIA Young Architects Award. Recent awards for design work include the Boston Society of Architects (BSA) Award for Design Excellence for the NYU Global Center, Asian Art Study Center at the Ringling, and the Vietnamese-German University; the AIA New England Honor Award for the Ringling; and the AIA Florida Gulf Coast Award of Divine Detail for the Ringling’s terra cotta facade.
At the GSD, Jeffry offers instruction in Core Design Studios, Thesis and Professional Practice. Jeffry sits on the GSD’s Practice Forum and is the school’s representative to the Boston Society of Architect’s Board of Directors. He regularly reviews student work around the world and he has served on several professional juries including the AIA San Francisco and AIA Montana Design Awards and the Liberty Museum ideas competition.
Jeffry holds two Masters in Architecture, the first with Honors from the University of Idaho, and the second a post-professional Masters with Distinction from Harvard GSD. Jeffry’s work and writings have been featured in publications such as commonedge, CLOG, IntAR, Competition, Architect, Architecture Record, Domez, Clarin and the Architect’s Newspaper.
