Jennifer Gresham received her B.A. and M.A. in English literature from the University of Toronto. In 2018, she earned her PhD from the University of Hong Kong, where she was a Hong Kong PhD Fellow in the School of English. Her research interests include transnational genre and processes of genrification; cultures of taste, cult fandom, and subcultural taste formations; transnationalism and cross-cultural theory; film and television; and, more recently, world modernisms.

Before joining CUHK SZ in 2020, she taught Master's courses on world modernisms and world literature at the University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Baptist University. Between 2008 and 2013, she taught humanities and literature at Toronto's Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning.
