Experience
With over 25 years of experience in the leadership development field, Jennifer has served leaders, organizations, and communities globally including healthcare, government, military, educational, community leadership, pharmaceuticals, and energy. Through organizational change, impact evaluation, high impact design, delivery of programs, and research, she brings a deep expertise in leadership research and how to apply it in practical, powerful ways for leaders and organizations.
Jennifer serves as the lead relationship manager for highly complex organizational leadership solutions and as lead facilitator for several of CCL’s open-enrollment programs. In addition to research and working with clients, Jennifer has led CCL’s development of new strategies and practices including evaluation, product development, and innovation.
Current Role
Jennifer serves as CCL’s senior vice president for Research, Evaluation, and Societal Advancement. In this role, she’s responsible for the leadership and execution of CCL’s world-renowned research, analytics, evaluation, and societal advancement practices. These critical components differentiate CCL from others in the industry and enable us to extend our knowledge and practice of leadership development across the whole of society, including CCL’s efforts to advance organizational cultures to be more focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Jennifer continues to work directly with clients, focusing on women’s and girls’ leadership development as well as transforming organizational capacity for leadership. She co-authored CCL’s new book, Kick Some Glass, with Portia R. Mount.

Educational Background
Jennifer earned a B.A. in psychology from North Carolina State University and a M.S. and Ph.D. in industrial and organizational psychology from Pennsylvania State University.
Professional Affiliations
Jennifer is a member of the International Leadership Association, the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and the American Psychological Association. She serves on multiple boards and committees locally and nationally. Jennifer and her husband Jim are the proud parents of 3 adult children who are living their own lives of leadership.

Jennifer is senior vice president, research, evaluation, and societal advancement at CCL, where she is responsible for advancing CCL’s competitive advantage — our global research and evaluation initiatives and our work focused on leadership development in the social sector. Jennifer is a recognized author and speaker, publishing books, chapters, and articles on topics related to leadership development that creates sustainable impact. As a senior executive and mother, Jennifer is passionate about improving the context for leadership globally for women and girls. Jennifer holds a Ph.D. in industrial & organizational psychology from Pennsylvania State University.

Awarded an ASTD Excellence in Practice Award in the categories of Managing Change and Workplace Learning and Development, and a Citation in the Organizational Learning category. Martineau served in an evaluation capacity for the Leadership Academy and co-author of the award nomination.
