Jenny Lorenzo

Profile

Jenny Lorenzo is an experienced facilitator and business coach and a professional associate of the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS).

Jenny’s background is in learning and development and her training is in facilitation and coaching. Jenny is particularly interested in creative and sustainable learning practices for individuals and teams. Since 2012 Jenny has worked part-time for GIBS as a facilitator, coach and action learning coach. With GIBS, Jenny also worked as the curriculum manager for the Bloomberg Media Initiative Africa financial journalism training programme and as an instructional designer on the KPMG Partner Legacy programme.

Jenny also works independently as a coach and process facilitator. Jenny is particularly interested in Gestalt as an approach to coaching and has exposure to various other approaches such as Systemic, Narrative, Neuroscience, Integral and group coaching. Her coaching accreditation with the ICF is pending.

In facilitating and teaching Jenny emphasizes creativity, energy, fun, and an active and interactive approach to learning. Jenny’s teaching interests include Personal Effectiveness and Leadership development, Performance Management (and its relationship to learning) and Change Management. 

Over the years Jenny has worked with leaders from a range of organisations, in both the public and private sectors, including BP, Nampak, MultiChoice, Bloomberg, Aspen, AIG, SARS, FNB, SAB Miller, The Airports Company, Kodak, Bytes and HP.

Jenny has worked in South Africa, Nigeria and Kenya and is currently studying towards an MSc at the Metanoia Institute, London.
