Overview
My research is driven by the exciting prospects of extracting detailed information about our Universe from observations of the cosmic microwave background (CMB), exploiting both its anisotropies and frequency spectrum. Through my work I became a leading expert on cosmological recombination physics, CMB spectral distortions caused by early-energy release, and the Sunyaev-Zeldovich (SZ) effect. I am the author of several software packages (CosmoRec, CosmoTherm, CosmoSpec and SZpack) that allow precise computations of unique signals from the early Universe.
