Jill Bloom

Dr. Jill Bloom is the Assistant Clinical Director and a licensed clinical psychologist at the Boston Child Study Center where she provides evidence-based treatment to adolescents, young adults, parents, and families. She specializes in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD, and emotion dysregulation using cognitive behavior therapy and dialectical behavior therapy.

Dr. Bloom graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in psychology and child development from Tufts University before earning her M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Suffolk University. She completed her predoctoral internship at Harvard Medical School/Cambridge Health Alliance where she treated patients in the child and adolescent outpatient clinic. She completed her post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School/McLean Hospital’s Adolescent Acute Residential Treatment (ART) program, where she provided treatment to adolescents within an acute treatment setting. Following her fellowship, Dr. Bloom served as a staff psychologist at McLean’s ART and Partial Hospital Program (PHP).

Dr. Bloom has received intensive training in CBT, DBT, DBT-PE and DBT-PTSD and has extensive experience treating adolescents and young adults struggling with mood disorders, anxiety, PTSD, and emotion dysregulation. She also has special expertise in DBT for caregivers and families, coaching caregivers to support family members’ gains in treatment.
