Research Summary
Joan R Roses''s research focuses on several aspects of the economic geography and long-run economic development of several European countries during the last two centuries.
He has worked extensively on the sources of Spain''s economic growth. More recently, however, his research has increasingly concentrated on studying the evolution and the determinants of regional inequality in European countries, particularly in Spain, France and Sweden.
Finally, he is working on an analysis of factor markets in Spain (land, labour and housing markets), and their influence on economic development and inequality.
