 Joanne Bethlahmy was named the 2017 Robert A. Fox Executive-in-Residence. A UC Davis alumna with 30 years of management consulting and marketing management experience, Bethlahmy has worked with large and small companies in consumer products goods, retail and technology on growth strategies, digital innovation and new product development. Most recently, Bethlahmy served as the global vice president of customer experience for Capgemini’s Applied Innovation Exchanges, a global platform designed to enable companies to discover relevant innovations and experiment with them. She was formerly the head of the consumer packaged goods practice for Cisco Consulting and an associate partner for Accenture’s Strategic Services. At Cisco, she partnered with clients such as PepsiCo, Costco, Walmart and Walgreens in areas including global e-commerce, marketing organizational effectiveness, product portfolio optimization, future stores and digital self-service retailing.  She was the founder and president of Illuminate Consulting and served as a marketing executive for PepsiCo, Maybelline, Chef Solutions, Gymboree and icPlanet.com. She was also a member of the board of directors for Galaxy Nutritional Foods. She has been the lead author on several industry publications and a featured speaker for the National Retail Federation, Shop.org, National Automatic Merchandising Association and the Association of National Advertisers. Bethlahmy was on the faculty for Accenture’s training college and has guest lectured on strategy skills, retail digital innovation, brand management and market research for UC Berkeley and St. Mary’s MBA programs. Bethlahmy has a J.D. from UC Hastings College of Law, an MBA in marketing from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, and a B.A. in history from UC Davis.
