Biography
I studied philosophy as an undergraduate in Cambridge (Fitzwilliam College, 1995-1998), and as a postgraduate at University College London (1998-2003). I spent four years at the University of Essex before moving to the University of Manchester in 2007. I am married to the brilliant Ann Whittle.
Social responsibility
I regularly give philosophy talks in Schools and Sixth Form Colleges around the Manchester area. Recent visits include Aquinas College (Stockport), Brine Leas Sixth Form (Nantwich), Loreto College (Manchester), Salford City College (Eccles), St. Bede''s College (Manchester), Stockport Grammar School (Stockport), William Hulme''s Grammar School (Manchester), and Winstanley College (Wigan).
