I enjoyed working at the SU for more than 13 years.I was head of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Focus Area at The Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences (EMS). I was privileged to meet many successful business people because of my involvement with the SU. People included Dr Johan Rupert, Dr Christo Wiese, Dr Serve Iqbal, Prof Mamphele Ramphele, Dr Christaan Barnard and Prof Johan van Zyl to name a few.

I was forced to leave the US at the age of 51 because of an excruciating illness. I have fully recovered and I am fit and healthy. I walk 4 km per day and also do daily weight training and swimming,

Visited Cranfield University as part of a research grant by the Economic and Management Faculty of Stellenbosch University to research possible new strategy and innovation programmes. This was part of the development of new focus areas in Innovation and Entrepreneurship by the Department of Business Management. Strategy was to be introduced on the 3rd year and honnors levels while Entrepreneurship and Intrapreneurship were introduced on undergraduate level while innovation was a new undergraduate subject in this focus area.
