Leonard N. Stern School of Business
In a career spanning more than 30 years on Wall Street, John has advised a vast number of corporate and financial sponsor clients on M&A, debt, equity and restructuring transactions, domestically and internationally, valued in aggregate at more than $100 billion. John focuses on companies in information services and technology, publishing and related sectors.
Previously, John was Head of Media Investment Banking at Jefferies LLC. Prior to joining Jefferies in 2008, John was a Senior Managing Director at Bear Stearns in the Media Investment Banking Group, where he was responsible for coverage of publishing, advertising and information services clients. John also previously worked in Bear Stearns’ Technology Group as co-head of Software and in the Financial Sponsor coverage group. Before his 14 years at Bear Stearns he worked at BlackRock Financial Management and Chase Manhattan Bank.
He received an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurial Studies from UCLA/Anderson in Los Angeles, CA and a BA in International and Comparative Political Studies from Hamilton College in Clinton, NY. John previously taught as an Adjunct Professor of Finance at NYU — Stern School of Business.
