Jones Graduate School of Business
John K. Hannan is an adjunct professor of international business law. He is a practicing attorney, representing clients in the United States, and also in Latin America, Europe and the Middle East. The activities his clients are involved in include medicine, manufacturing, chemicals, petroleum, mining, transportation and agriculture. His teaching interests focus on the special and complicated legal problems faced by international business ventures. Dr. Hannan received his B.A. in Biology and biochemistry from Rice University. After graduating from Rice, he worked in the petroleum, steel industries in Mexico and South America. He received his law degree in 1988 and then began a private law practice devoted to business law and international transactions. In 1990 he was appointed to the Rice faculty as an adjunct professor, teaching international business law.
