Biography

John Hug has taught graduate and undergraduate accounting at DePaul University since 2011. Previously he was an adjunct faculty member at Dominican University (1995 – 2010) and Keller Graduate School of Management (1979-1986), where he taught accounting, finance and strategic management.

Professional experience includes KPMG (1970 – 1995), alternating between assurance and management consulting. Among his roles were: partner in charge of the middle market practice for the Chicago office; partner in charge of the Schaumburg office; and partner in charge of the Chicago office Strategic Services consulting practice .

From 1995 to 2011 he was Chief Financial Officer of a chemical corporation specializing in manufacture, repacking and distribution of water treatment chemicals.

He also is chief financial officer of a real estate investment firm based in Chicago
