Biography
Columbia Engineering Executive Education
I am an associate professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Columbia University. I am also a member of the Data Science Institute at Columbia. Here is my CV. (Some other info about me here.)
I received my Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Duke University, where I worked with Lawrence Carin. I was then a post-doc in the Computer Science departments at Princeton University with David Blei and UC Berkeley with Michael Jordan.
Research group
- My research interest is in the general area of statistical machine learning, including:
- Probabilistic models and inference techniques,
- Bayesian nonparametric methods,
- Signal and image processing applications.
