Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy

John is currently the President of HEMO BIOENGINEERING LTD, APAC's leading medical device R&D company that specializes in neurovascular stroke treatment. He was previously the Partner for Bell Pottinger, an international financial PR firm, and was also Director for Investor Relations and CEO Office at Biosensors International Group where he helped raise US$300M in a Medium Term Note Programme, and privatize the company from the Singapore stock exchange for relisting in Shenzhen Stock Exchange. He was previously a financial journalist and TV presenter with Mediacorp News. Curently, he is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, based at Asia’s no. 1 university NUS. His experience and interest in leadership, business management, entrepreneurship and communication has resulted in him building a successful consulting business serving MNCs and SMEs in the region. He has been invited to speak at international financial forums by Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse, Everbright Bank (China), and on sales and corporate leadership to Prudential, AIA, Great Eastern, Citibank, Standard Chartered, UOB, BRC Asia, BioTronik, Best World International etc. John has a PhD in Public Policy and Masters Degree of Arts in Contemporary China, both from NTU. He also received his Chartered Accountant and Practicing Management Consultant certificates from Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants and Singapore Business Advisors & Consultants Council respectively.
