Said Business School

Jon Stokes is a Senior Fellow in Management Practice at Saïd Business School. He is a Visiting Professor at Strathclyde Graduate Business School, an Associate Faculty member of Henley Business School and an Associate Fellow of the Institute for Government. Jon is a highly experienced business psychologist with expertise in leadership development, executive assessment and selection, senior executive coaching, and coach training and supervision.

At the School, Jon teaches on Consulting and Coaching for Change and on the Oxford Strategic Leadership Programme, focusing on Emotional Dynamics of Change and Psychology of Leadership respectively. He has also taught on the Oxford Diploma in Organisational Leadership. He has been a director, teacher and tutor on leadership programmes for Henley, Strathclyde and the Judge Business School at Cambridge. Jon has also directed and taught Inspirational Leadership at the National Theatre, London.

Jon is a Director of Stokes & Jolly, an independent, professional advisory and organisational consulting firm. From 1978 until 1999, Jon worked for the Tavistock Clinic. He was an Associate of the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations (1978–1994), Director of the Adult Out-Patient Clinic (1987 –1994) and Founding Director of Tavistock Consultancy Services (1994–1999). 

Jon is an occasional contributor to the BBC’s World Business News and to CNN.

Jon has an MA in Experimental Psychology from Oxford University. He has a Diploma in Clinical Psychology from the British Psychological Society and has Coach and Coach Supervisor accreditation from the Association for Professional Executive Coaching and Supervision.
