UW Professional & Continuing Education

Josephine Amory, M.D., is a board certified physician with Palliative Care Services at UW Medical Center and a UW assistant professor of Family Medicine.

Dr. Amory provides supportive care to families and infants in the Neonatal ICU. Palliative care is an extra layer of support for patients and families experiencing significant medical illness. For families of newborns in the ICU, hospitalization is an extraordinarily stressful and complicated time. She feels her role as a palliative care provider is to support newborns, families and staff as they navigate these challenges together.

Dr. Amory earned her bachelor’s degree with honors from Princeton and her M.D. from UC San Francisco. She is triple board certified in Maternal & Fetal Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology and Hospice & Palliative Care. Her clinical interests include goals of care discussions and teaching best practices in communication to physicians and staff.
