Josh Cashman

Josh Cashman is a Colorado lawyer and business owner with extensive experience in financial analysis, investment management, and regulatory compliance. He has spent his career advising clients on matters involving finance, law, and valuation. Josh co-founded, operated, and sold two financial advisory firms, focused on business analysis, diligence, and consulting. He started his career in the non-profit investment sector at the TIAA Trust Company, opening its first southwest regional office in Denver. Josh’s work at the TIAA Trust Company involved analyzing portfolios of publicly traded securities for investment by foundations, family offices, and high net worth individuals. In addition, he provided financial and estate planning services while completing the University of Denver’s graduate evening law, finance, and MBA programs.

Presently, Josh consults foundations and family offices on Program Related Investments (PRIs) and private impact transactions. Over the course of his financial advisory career, Josh and his teams have completed thousands of complex debt and equity analyses, emphasizing financial reporting for GAAP and IFRS compliance (in the context of M&A). In addition, he has completed expert testimony for transaction opinions in state and federal courts. Josh understands investment objectives for investors in public and private markets, including hedge funds, private equity funds, family offices, foundations, and venture capital funds.

Josh remains involved in his local community by serving the Board of the Parent Teacher Association of his children’s elementary school, University Park Elementary. He also serves as adjunct professor at the University of Denver’s Daniels School of Business. He continues to operate an eCommerce business, selling ancient grains and herbal remedies, dedicated to the life and times of Saint Hildegard of Bingen. Above all, Josh values his time in the outdoors with his wife and two boys.
