Research:

Professor Giesberg's research interests are women, gender, and social history in the Civil War era. Her current projects including building a website of Information Wanted Advertisements taken out by former slaves during and after the Civil War.

• Associate Director of The Martin-Springer Institute for Teaching the Holocaust, Tolerance and Humanitarian Values, Northern Arizona University, 2001-2002.
• Grant Administrator, Harvard University School of Public Health, 1996-2000.
