Frankfurt School of Finance & Management

Born in Yorkshire, England, Judith Mader attended schools in Singapore and England. She has degrees in Political Science and English and American Studies (B.A.) from the University of Sussex, England and in Applied Linguistics (M.A.) from the University of Birmingham, England. From 1976 to 2001 she was an instructor of English for several companies (Helaba, AEG, Honeywell Bull, VDO among others) and educational institutions (Adult Education Institutions in Frankfurt and elsewhere, European Business School, University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt, University of Applied Sciences Mainz ).

She was also a teacher trainer for universities, universities of applied science, adult education institutions and regional adult education associations and carried out sessions and courses all over Germany and in other European countries. From 1998 to 2001 she was an English instructor at the University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt where she taught courses in Business and Technical English and organised and ran external examinations.

From 2001 to 2003 she was responsible for the administration and teacher training and counselling of the virtual learning environment (vhs-kampus) run by the German Association of Adult Education Institutions and worked on the development and organisation of training courses for online tutors throughout Germany. From 2003 to 2008 she was a member of the academic test development staff at Weiterbildungs-Testsysteme GmbH in Frankfurt am Main, the Examination board for telc - The European Language Certificates. She was responsible for the planning and development of examinations in languages for business and technical purposes (English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese), relationship management and the development, organisation and running of examiner training sessions in Germany and several other European countries.

In 2008 she was a member of the academic staff at the University of Applied Sciences in Mainz with special responsibility for languages for business and standardisation of language examinations.

Since October 2008 she has been Head of Languages and language instructor at The Frankfurt School of Finance & Management in Frankfurt am Main.
