Present Occupation: Full-time Arbitrator, Mediator and Fact Finder focusing on resolution of workplace disputes in the private and public sectors. Areas of Expertise: Discipline and discharge, including performance, competency and attendance/absenteeism; discrimination claims based upon gender, sexual harassment, age, race, national origin and religion; student disciplinary hearings; contract interpretation disputes. Previous Work Experience: Over 20 years legal experience in traditional labor and employment law; served as Counsel at Ingerman Smith, LLP; from 2002 through 2015 represented school district clients in federal and state court litigation, arbitration, Civil Service Law Section 75 proceedings, Education Law Section 3020-a proceedings, Article 78 challenges, administrative proceedings, including PERB and the Commissioner of Education; conducted workplace investigations including misconduct and harassment, represented county ethics board and conducted county-wide ethics training; conducted collective bargaining negotiations and provided day to day general counsel; practicing attorney at Rains & Pogrebin P.C. (1995-1999) and Sidley & Austin (1995-1999)
