Jun Han

Dr. Jun Han is a practice-oriented researcher and an academically trained professional. He has 12 years of experience in academia, nonprofits, and international organizations, spanning research, teaching, management, and consulting roles in United States, United Kingdom, and China.

Jun now works as Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University and Consultant at World Bank Group. He is also honored to serve as the Secretary on the Board of Oxford University Society of Washington D.C. (OUSDC).

In the past decade, Jun did research or consulting at Georgetown University, University of Oxford, University of Pennsylvania, Independent Sector, Halcyon House, and Finance Center for South-South Cooperation. He also taught courses on social entrepreneurship, social innovation, strategy, and policy at Georgetown University, University of Maryland College Park, and George Mason University.

Jun holds Ph.D. in Sociology from University of Oxford, and Master of Laws in Sociology from Peking University. He completed Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Georgetown University’s Beeck Center for Social Impact + Innovation, and Summer Doctoral Fellowship at University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Social Impact Strategy.

From 2010 to 2021, Jun has published 18 peer-reviewed articles or chapters (8 in English and 10 in Chinese) and 11 media articles (4 in English and 7 in Chinese), and produced 16 consulting reports (in English) for international organizations, nonprofits, and thinktanks. His research has appeared in leading journals, including Journal of Social Entrepreneurship, VOLUNTAS, Chinese Sociological Review, China Review, Chinese Public Administration Review, among others.
