Biography
UNSW Business School
Karen has been an Adjunct Faculty member of the Australian School of Business (UNSW) teaching on AGSM (Australian Graduate School of Management) Programs since 2006.
She also won the UNSW Business School’s award for outstanding teaching in 2014 and was a finalist for the Vice Chancellor’s award for Outstanding Teaching in 2015.
Karen instructs in the areas of Executive Leadership and Change management. She has conducted short courses for organisations including Qantas, Origin Energy, QBE, IAG, Telstra, ANZ amongst others.
She also teaches on the Executive MBA across all areas of Organisational Behaviour, including Managing People in Organisations and the MBAx in subjects like Leadership in a Complex Environment and Management of Innovation and Technical Change.
Karen has extensive experience teaching online and currently teaches Change Management offered exclusively online at the AGSM, with subjects like Approaches to Change and Change Skills.
Karen also facilitates Executive Education programs with both the corporate and not for profit sectors.
Karen brings significant corporate experience into her facilitation drawing from her 14 years in a large corporate which includes 8 years as General Manager at Telstra Corporation looking after transformational change. Karen is also able to draw on unique overseas experience.
Through her leadership development and change management consultancy, Krysalis, she assists organisations undertaking transformational change with a particular emphasis on cultural change. Her focus is on influencing and embedding sustainable outcomes.
In association with the Australian and US Governments, Karen has designed and is leading a number of leadership programs across Indonesia and other developing countries.
She is also an Executive Coach helping her clients transform organisations and themselves.
She is passionate about working with individuals who are committed to extending their management and leadership capabilities.
