Biography

Kate is a graduate of Boston University (CAS ’04) and Columbia University (MA Teachers College ’09, PhD GSAS ’13). She taught at Carthage for three years as a postdoctoral fellow of Western Heritage and for two years as a visiting assistant professor of classics and history, after which she established a private academic editing and research consultancy.

Having studied anthropology throughout her undergraduate and graduate degrees, Kate is a “trained people person” with a key ability to identify and communicate other people’s core values and goals. Her research focus was on post-conflict urban transformation in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and she has published extensively on the role of community art in peace building.
