Kathy O'Reilly

Kathy is a Lecturer in the Management subject area at UCD, and teaches across a number of areas and programmes, including Management Consulting, International Business, Global Marketing, Service Learning and Project Management. In addition to teaching on a number of UCD's programmes in Ireland, Spain and Singapore, Kathy has also been the Programme Director for the MSc in Management Consultancy since 2002. Prior to joining UCD, Kathy worked for GE as a Six Sigma Black Belt, and delivered a number of quality projects within GE Capital. From GE, Kathy joined PA Consulting Group's Government and Public Sector practice, where she specialized in the delivery of HR and training related projects in Ireland and the UK. Kathy holds an MSc. in International Business from the UCD Michael Smurfit School of Business, and a BA in Philosophy & English Literature from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth. She is a member of the Irish Institute of Training and Development (IITD), and is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) in the Institute of Management Consultants and Advisers (IMCA). She is also an Academic Fellow of the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI), the global professional body of the management consulting industry. Kathy is currently completing a Doctorate in Higher Education, focusing on the impact of experiential learning on the career development of business graduates.
