Biography

Professor Matthews took degrees at the LSE, Birkbeck College (University of London), and University of Liverpool. He has held research appointments at the LSE, National Institute of Economic & Social Research, Bank of England, and Lombard Street Research. He has held academic appointments at University of Liverpool, Liverpool Business School, and Cardiff Business School and visiting appointments at University of Leuven, Clemson University, University of Western Ontario, Humbolt University, Fudan School of Management, and Hong Kong Institute of Monetary Research. Kent Matthews has published widely in the areas on money, macroeconomics, applied economics, banking, and finance in over 80 papers in peer reviewed journals. He is also the author/co-author of 10 books, 17 book chapters, and over 50 reports and papers in professional journals.
