Kevin Lyons
Strategic Management Professor at Schulich School of Business
Biography
Schulich School of Business
Kevin Lyons has spent the past 20+ years in management consulting, strategic business development, and sales leadership roles. Most recently he has joined RSA Netwitness to pursue his passion of helping Canadian enterprises build business resilience in the face of a cybersecurity risk that continues to grow both in terms of sophistication and in terms of the ever expanding attack surface.
Prior to RSA Netwitness, Kevin was with Hitachi and helped clients in the Telecommunications, Finance, Manufacturing, Energy, and Entertainment sectors as they sought to mobilize their corporate data assets to improve client engagement and develop new methods of monetizing their data.
Before Hitachi, Kevin ran a successful $24M telecom business supporting a team of 6 outside and 4 inside account managers targeting 150-1000 employee mid-market clients in the Ontario region.
Kevin surrounds himself with a high-calibre, energized team of individuals and leaders that consistently deliver strong results. He takes an active role in creating the needed culture that supports this objective. For example, while leading the Sales Advisory Board at TELUS he helped this Board elevate aggregate employee engagement from 51% to 93% over an 18-month period.
Kevin aspires to challenges and peak performance not only professionally but also personally as well. Kevin’s passion for community involvement includes being a platinum donor for Canadian Blood Services, a guest speaker for Make-a-Wish, a multiple participant in the Relay for Life, an ongoing Kiva donor, and a part-time instructor at Schulich’s School of Business at York University.
