Kevin van Tonder

Kevin is a South African barrister with a distinguished global career, spending 15 years in the legal department of Schlumberger, a large, industry-leading multinational company in the oil & gas sector, where he held various senior management roles. More than half of his time in legal practice has been in an international, fast-paced and dynamic environment with significant exposure to legal operations, contract lifecycle management, anti-bribery and corruption compliance, and people management in many challenging jurisdictions. In 2017, Schlumberger was a finalist in the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Awards, North America for a large, legal department transformation project that Kevin headed-up at Schlumberger. Kevin now consults to corporate legal teams, helping them deliver more value through systems thinking, aligning them better with the businesses that they support.
