Kim Dabbs is a global leader in the area of belonging and purpose. As a thought leader, cultural researcher, author and speaker, she has been leading social impact, innovation, and education initiatives throughout the globe. She presents internationally on belonging and purpose at venues such as TEDx, MIT, the Guggenheim, the Aspen Institute and The Drucker Forum. Dabbs has also received numerous recognitions in the process, including a Joyce Fellowship, an executive residency at the d.school at Stanford, and being selected as an innovation coach at IDEOU.

Today, she is the Global Vice President of ESG + Social Innovation at Steelcase—a publicly traded company that leading businesses, organizations, and educational and medical institutions have trusted for over 100 years to unlock the promise of their people. They are one of the global leaders in architecture, furniture, and technology solutions with 11,000+ employees, 800+ global dealers, and 70 offices in 30 countries with over two billion dollars in annual revenue. She leads Steelcase in setting a bold, global ESG strategy to build a more sustainable, inclusive and equitable world.

Prior to joining Steelcase, she served as executive director of the West Michigan Center for Arts and Technology. Kim crafted a model rooted in holistic belonging for both adult career training and teen arts + tech engagement, leading to WMCAT’s inclusion in national learning networks as a best practice. Kim also led Michigan Youth Arts, where she built a coalition of 16 statewide organizations focused on public policy, philanthropy and advocacy for education.

Kim holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Art History from Kendall College of Art and Design. She is a Korean-Born, American, currently living in Germany with her family.
