Bristol Business School
My main research interests include banking development and financial reform in emerging economies, SME access to formal finance, institutional economics, and economic transformation in the former Soviet Union in general and in the central Asian economies in particular.
Prior to joining the UWE Bristol in February 2013, I worked as a lecturer in Economics at Aberystwyth University in Aberystwyth, Wales, where I was Programme Leader, MSc Finance, Chair of the Postgraduate Exam Board, and School Representative at the Faculty of Social Sciences Learning and Teaching Board.
