Kuo Jo-Yu

Dr Kuo Jo-Yu is a Research Fellow in the HP-NTU Digital Manufacturing Corporate Lab, at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. She received her joint Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from NTU, Singapore and Loughborough University, UK, in 2019. She has a strong design research background, holding both BS and MS degrees in Industrial Design from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. Her research interests are in user experience, affective engineering, AI-driven product development, human-machine interface, human factors engineering, and design science. She actively advises for design stream students’ final year projects in the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, NTU. Her works have won the Best Paper Awards in international conferences, as well as design workshops and competitions. She is also experienced in leading and managing research projects in industry-academia collaborations. Before joining the HP-NTU Corp Lab in July 2020, she led a research team developing innovative solutions to personal urban mobility at the Schaeffler Hub for Advanced Research.
