Kweli Washington is a strategy and operations executive with over 15 years of experience in the private and nonprofit sectors.  He works at Piano, a software firm that provides digital content monetization tools for media companies like Hearst, the Economist, and NBC Universal.

At Piano, Kweli is the Global Director, Talent & Culture, responsible for the post-merger integration of three offices across three continents.  He is implementing performance metrics and other organization-wide systems to support scaled growth and employee wellbeing.  Kweli has also led Piano Client Revenue, a team of business analysts and data scientists responsible for advising media clients on their digital content monetization strategies.

For a decade, Kweli ran a consulting firm called the Cue Group focused on innovation and transformation initiatives for clients like John Legend, the New York City Department of Education, the United Negro College Fund, and a construction contractor in Afghanistan.  Kweli has also worked at Google in strategy and operations for the Partner Business Solutions unit and at the Boston Consulting Group in the financial services and healthcare practices where he specialized in management of transition teams at merged companies and salesforce effectiveness.

Kweli is the host of a television interview show on culture and politics called COUNTERCULTURE.  He is a trustee of the Association of American Rhodes Scholars and a term member at the Council on Foreign Relations.

Kweli holds an A.B. from Harvard University in Social Studies and Anthropology and an M.Phil. from Oxford University in Development Studies, where he was Rhode Scholar. 

He resides in New York with his wife and two sons.
