Laura Conde Canencia has 12 years of experience in research and education in electrical engineering. She is an Associate Professor at the University of South Brittany, France, where she also served as an elected member of the Scientific Advisory Board and the International Relations Advisory Board. Her area of expertise is channel coding for data storage and transmission. She has published over thirty papers and holds four patents on DNA storage and hardware implementation of LDPC decoders. She received a French Power & Energy Society scientific excellence fellowship and was elected a member of a Technical Committee in the IEEE Signal Processing Society. In 2018, she was a Fulbright Visiting Research Scholar at UCLA, awarded the EU’s Marie Curie Fellowship, and co-funded by the French Ministry of Higher Education & Research. After the IBEAR MBA program, Dr. Conde Canencia plans to join a leading tech company or create her own startup in emerging digital technologies.
